Choose categories before choosing cubes

Make a short packing list first. Group items into categories such as tops, bottoms, underwear, sleepwear and accessories. Assign one category to each cube so you can find an item without emptying the suitcase.

Match the cube to the contents

Use larger cubes for soft clothing and smaller cubes for accessories. Avoid placing shoes, liquids or sharp objects beside delicate fabric. Toiletries should travel in a separate leak-resistant bag that follows airline security rules.

Fold or roll consistently

Both methods can work. Rolling is useful for casual garments that resist creasing, while flat folding often suits structured pieces. The important part is consistency: arrange each cube so you can see its contents when it opens.

Leave a little room

A cube should close without straining the zipper. Leaving some space helps clothing retain its shape and makes repacking easier. Packing cubes organize space; they do not reduce the weight of your luggage, so always check the airline allowance.

Use one cube for the first night

Pack sleepwear, a clean top and essential undergarments together. If you arrive late, you can open one cube instead of searching through the entire suitcase.

Separate used clothing

Bring an empty lightweight bag or reserve one cube for laundry. Keep damp items separate and allow them to dry before packing whenever possible.

Before buying a set, compare the cube dimensions with the inside of your suitcase. Note the number of pieces included, the type of closure and whether the material can be wiped or washed according to the care instructions.
